More Than a "Yes"
When people think about engagement photos, they often picture the big moments—the ring, the celebration, the excitement of planning a wedding.
But one of my favorite things about photographing couples is noticing the little things.
The way one person instinctively reaches for the other's hand. The smile that appears after an inside joke. The quiet glances that happen when they think no one is paying attention.
Those are the moments that tell the real story.
Bri + Nick's session wasn't about creating perfectly posed photographs. It was about slowing down long enough to capture the way they naturally love one another. Like many couples, they started the session feeling a little unsure in front of the camera, but as the evening went on, the nerves faded, and their personalities began to shine.
Those are always my favorite moments to photograph.
An engagement season can feel busy. There are decisions to make, vendors to book, and plans constantly changing. Spending an evening together without distractions is a reminder of what all of this is really about—the person standing beside you.
My hope is that years from now, these photographs won't just remind Bri + Nick what they looked like during this season. I hope they'll remember how easy it felt to laugh together, how excited they were for what was ahead, and all of the little moments that made this chapter so special.
Bri + Nick, thank you for trusting me to tell a small part of your story. It was such a joy getting to celebrate this season with you, and I can't wait to see all that's ahead for you both.
