Learning to Slow Down

One of the first things Molly + Lleyton told me was that they weren't totally sure what to do in front of the camera.

Honestly? That's something I hear all the time.

The good news is—you don't have to know how to pose before your session. That's my job.

We started with a few simple prompts, took our time, and let the nerves settle. Before long, the stiff smiles turned into real laughter, the conversations came naturally, and they stopped worrying about whether they were "doing it right."

Those are always my favorite moments to photograph.

I don't believe the best photos come from perfectly memorized poses. They come from creating a space where you can simply enjoy being together. Sometimes that means walking hand in hand, sharing an inside joke, or just taking a quiet moment to breathe. My goal is never to force a moment—it's to guide you until the genuine ones naturally unfold.

By the end of the session, Molly + Lleyton looked completely at ease, and that's one of my favorite parts of what I get to do. Watching people grow more confident in front of the camera and leave saying, "That was actually so much fun," is just as rewarding as delivering their gallery.

Molly + Lleyton, thank you for trusting me through every pose, every laugh, and every little in-between moment. It was such a joy getting to spend the evening with you, and I hope these photos always remind you that you never have to be a model to have images that feel beautiful and true to your story.

If the thought of being in front of a camera makes you nervous, know that you're not alone. I'll guide you every step of the way so your session feels less like a photoshoot and more like spending time with someone you love.
