More Than Just Engagement Photos
One of my favorite parts of an engagement session has very little to do with the photos themselves.
It's watching two people arrive a little unsure, wondering if they'll know what to do, and leave saying,
"That was actually so much fun."
That's exactly why I love these sessions.
For V + W, the evening wasn't about getting every pose exactly right. It was about creating a space where they could relax, laugh, and simply enjoy spending time together. As we walked, talked, and explored, the camera slowly became an afterthought.
An engagement session is often the first time my couples get to experience what it's feels like to be photographed before their wedding day. It's a chance for us to get to know each other, figure out what feels natural, and build trust long before the wedding arrives.
By the end of the session, what started as a little uncertainty had turned into confidence. They weren't wondering where to put their hands anymore or whether they were smiling the right way. They were simply enjoying being together, and those are always the moments worth capturing.
Victoria + Wyatt, thank you for trusting me with this season of your lives. It was such a joy getting to know you both, and I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to document this exciting chapter.
My hope is that every couple who steps in front of my camera leaves with more than beautiful photographs. I hope they leave feeling seen, comfortable, and excited for all that's still to come.
